The Greater Nashville Regional Council, also known as GNRC or the Regional Council, is an association of local governments representing communities across 13 counties in Middle Tennessee.  Its purpose is to assist those communities and state agencies in the development of plans and programs that ensure the long-term prosperity of the region.   The Regional Council provides a powerful forum for community leaders to collaborate and act on issues related to economic growth, community design and development, and the quality of life for its residents.

This site provides information about GNRC and its major programs including the Area Agency on Aging & Disability, Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (transportation planning), the Mid-Cumberland Area Development Corporation (small business assistance and lending), the Middle Tennessee Tourism Council, among others.
