Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) provides guidance to the MPO on issues related to the non-motorized modes of transportation. The BPAC is comprised of stakeholders from local governments, elected officials, transit agencies, law enforcement, non-profits, and advocates interested in improving the regional network for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The BPAC was reconvened in January 2020 to provide expertise and collaboration on regional issues related to walking and bicycling. The committee has identified priority areas for active transportation investment for the 2045 Regional Transportation Plan. The committee has also provided feedback on statewide bicycle and pedestrian planning processes and seeks to analyze and inform strategies for improving non-motorized safety in the Nashville region.
