Welcome to Greater Nashville Regional Council’s (GNRC) website. Formed by legislative act in 1967, GNRC is a regional organization of the 13 counties and 52 cities of the Greater Nashville Region of Middle Tennessee.
GNRC offers a variety of programming, products and services to our member governments and their citizens. GNRC serves the counties of Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson and Wilson and the cities located within these counties. Whether you are an elected official, a GNRC member government or a private citizen, I hope that you will find the GNRC website to be informative and easy to use.
I invite you to take the time to peruse our site and learn more about GNRC’s member governments, our programs and services, current projects and committees and staff. You will find direct links to GNRC agencies and departments including: Area Agency on Aging & Disability (AAAD), Mid-Cumberland Area Development Corporation (MADC), Middle Tennessee Tourism Council (MTTC), our Research, Planning and Development department as well as many of our current publications and reports.
I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the dedication of the region’s city and county mayors and their staff, the local legislative bodies and the local government’s various boards and commission’s that strive each and every day to make this region a better place to live and work. Special gratitude is also extended to the other GNRC officers and Board members that have dedicated their time and efforts to enhancing the region, and I would encourage all of our members to attend GNRC meetings and to become active within the organization.
Ken Moore, President
Mayor, City of Franklin
