The Information and Assistance program (I&A) consists of a helpline designed to provide information on aging & disability issues and community resources. This program is provided through the Area Agency on Aging and Disability. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are available to discuss and provide information to best meet the needs of the caller. All staff are trained and certified under the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems as a Certified Aging Specialist. Our database of community resources is maintained and updated regularly so that accurate information can be disseminated to the Greater Nashville community. For individuals looking to apply for one of Tennessee’s Home and Community Based Programs such as CHOICES, OPTIONS or Family Caregiver, our I&A staff will assist you by discussing the various programs and providing an initial eligibility screening to assess which program best meets your need. So, whether you’re looking for services or needing information on an aging issue, please contact us.
